Cambridge Cycling Focus Group Members Wanted
The City of Cambridge Community Development Department invites applications from citizens who are interested in having their names considered for appointment to the Cambridge Cycling Focus Group. To be eligible for appointment, you must be a qualified elector in the City of Cambridge.
The mandate of the Cambridge Cycling Focus Group is to provide consultation and input regarding the implementation of on-road cycling facilities and cycling initiatives pursued by the Community Development Department. The Cambridge Cycling Focus Group is a sub-committee of the Cambridge Trails Advisory Committee and co-ordinates planning, projects, and activities with them.
Individuals with a knowledge and interest in cycling and cycling planning issues are encouraged to apply. Four structured meetings of the Cambridge Cycling Focus Group will be held per year with two additional meetings held jointly with the Cambridge Trails Advisory Committee. Additional meetings (i.e. public meetings or pressing issues) may be required as deemed necessary by the Community Development Department.
Member terms are for three years with the option of re-applying for subsequent terms in the future.

Your input will shape an Action Plan 2.0 that encourages active transportation, helps to create healthy habits and supports Ontario’s Climate Change Action Plan.

Waterloo Region Cycling Forum Summary
In November 2016, IMPAcT hosted over 80 representatives from local government, municipal Council, cycling clubs, bike-related businesses, community associations, post-secondary institutions and various non-profits to discuss local cycling culture.
