City of Kitchener survey on connection between Iron Horse Trail and Trans Canada Trail
The City of Kitchener is working with the province to fill a gap in pedestrian and cycling infrastructure between the Iron Horse Trail and the Trans Canada Trail.
The City of Kitchener’s Cycling Master Plan identifies pedestrian and cycling upgrades for Bedford Rd and Sydney St S, to facilitate a clear and cohesive trail connection to resolve this gap. Following public consultation, a staff report will be presented to Kitchener City Council.

Waterloo Region Cycling Forum Summary
In November 2016, IMPAcT hosted over 80 representatives from local government, municipal Council, cycling clubs, bike-related businesses, community associations, post-secondary institutions and various non-profits to discuss local cycling culture.
